Axis Security, the manned guarding and electronic security contractor, has Richard Diston as its new Security Training Manager.

Richard has security and training experience. After seven years in the RAF, he moved into civilian and then IT security. Prior to joining Axis, he worked as a security consultant and he is completing a masters degree from Loughborough University in Security and Risk Management. He has rewritten the Physical Security and Fraud modules for Loughborough.

Richard says: “Axis is known to be a progressively thinking company. The initial interview process cemented my belief that what they want to achieve in the industry is very much in line with my own thinking and moreover, that there is a great deal of talent within the business. I knew I would be working with good people.

“Security officers are not just a number at Axis Security,” he adds. “Working in this role is exciting as the training and ethos behind the role is innovative and indicative of the industry’s requirements.”

Jonathan Levine, Axis Group CEO adds: “In Richard we have found the right man for the job,” he says. “There has been a meeting of minds; he is committed to driving a shared vision for our officers that will give them the best opportunities for future development.”
