Scaffolding site protection

by Mark Rowe

VPS Site Security is launching a new range of scaffolding alarms at the BuildShow 2015 at the NEC, Birmingham from October 6 to 8 – stand B3/616.

The products are aimed at the building and construction sector. Phil Bunting, Head of Integrated Solutions and EU Support at VPS Site Security says: “They will help significantly reduce the risk of theft and vandalism involving the use of scaffolding. Together with our sister companies, we have over two decades of proven in-house design and development, coupled with the experience of securing and protecting millions of square foot of property and construction sites each year across the UK.”

The firm offers three levels of protection. At the lowest, Bronze entry level, up to 16 dual-beam detectors can be connected, with remote monitoring of any alerts by VPS Site Security. In addition to radio communications and long-life batteries, there are CCTV upgrade options possible to add further protection.

VPS Site Security has recently been shortlisted by the British Construction Industry for their JCB Smart Tower, and have also been awarded the security contract for Costain and their Heads of The Valley road improvement scheme, covering a 14km construction project in South Wales.
