SIM service

by Mark Rowe

A provider of AI-powered perimeter security products, Reconeyez, is launching the Reconeyez SIM, which the firm describes as a SIM service for connectivity and deployment for Reconeyez systems.

The new Reconeyez SIM comes as an embedded and physical SIM. It can be retro-fitted to any Reconeyez Bridge, offering SIM management for new users and existing clients. With partnerships across Mobile Network Providers worldwide, the service offers coverage from over 600 carriers in 200 countries, the firm adds. A user inserts batteries into the Bridge and starts receiving alarm images. SIMs are automatically activated or suspended when a Bridge is powered on or off. No manual SIM management needed. As for billing, charges apply only when a Bridge is active during a calendar month. Both embedded and physical SIMs are industrial-grade and come with diagnostics for resolution of any issues. One fixed monthly fee provides for alarms, arming and disarming of alarms, schedule changes, and triggering multiple sirens and Bridge input-outputs, even across different Bridges.

The eSIM provisioning behind Reconeyez SIM is based on GSMA SGP.22 and SGP.32 SIM specifications. With an automated eSIM activation service, using a native bootstrap and an “empty shell” eSIM architecture, Reconeyez is a solution for remote security applications, the firm adds.

Head of Sales

Reconeyez meanwhile has appointed Guy Combrinck as Head of Sales UK and Ireland. Guy brings over 20 years of experience in the security and data industries.

Simon Faulkner, CRO UK & EU at Reconeyez, said: “Bringing Guy on board is a key part of Reconeyez’ ambitious growth goals. Guy’s hands-on approach, ability to build long-term partnerships, and strategic mindset has earned him a stellar reputation in the industry. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to the significant contributions he will make.”

Guy Combrinck, pictured, said: “The opportunity to help grow Reconeyez in the UK is incredibly exciting. With economic uncertainty and evolving security threats, businesses need flexible, cost-effective security solutions that don’t require extensive infrastructure. The launch of the new SIM reflects that market need and underlines why Reconeyez offers something truly unique in that market. An AI-enabled perimeter security solution that can be deployed anywhere.”

Guy has held roles at the alarm manufacturer Ajax Systems and product distributor ADI Global Distribution. Guy predicts AI will play an increasingly critical role in security efficiency and reducing false alarms.
