Professional Security Magazine’s Security TWENTY series of events around the British Isles, ST for short, are now CPD accredited.
That means when you arrive and are badged, you start earning towards your continued professional development, that for example you may need to enable Security Institute membership or for those who have gained the gold standard Chartered Security Professional status. As the sector takes strides towards becoming a profession, part of that requires that security managers keep topping up their skills, knowledge and experience; and, for CPD purposes, documenting that.
Hence for ST26 Glasgow, and onward, we’ve got accredited through the CPD Group. What more excuse do you need to attend ST, which in any case is a good place to mingle with your fellows, renew acquaintances and make new contacts, and see from the exhibitors what new products and services are around.
We appreciate that security people are busy, and while we ask that you register beforehand (it helps us gauge what catering to book), we don’t mind if you turn up on the day. Which for ST Glasgow is the Westerwood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort outside Cumbernauld, on Wednesday, May 13. If you’re a golfer, do get in touch soonest, because the Tuesday morning we’re playing golf, and you’re invited!
Times
The show proper on the Wednesday opens at 11am with bacon butties for the early arrivers. The hot buffet lunch comes out at 1am and the day wraps up at 3pm, meaning that you don’t have to give up a full day to attend; take what time out you can. ST all along has been for everyone, no matter what their background, length of service or interest in private security, whether an end user or installer, consultant or specifier, or someone not daily at work in the sector but who simply wants to stay up to date.
