Tower 42 extension

by Mark Rowe

Ultimate Security will continue to provide its services at Tower 42, the City of London development (pictured back), until 2020, in a £2.2m a year contract.

Completed in 1980, Tower 42 has about 320,000 square feet of space across 42 floors. Working 24-hours, the building houses several multi-disciplinary and multi-national tenants, restaurants, a health club and other services.

Barry Rushmer, general manager, Tower 42, said: “We require a security partner that operates collaboratively, is adaptable and willing to respond to change, aiding the smooth operation of the building. The Tower 42 Management team, BNP Paribas and the building’s owners are delighted with Ultimate’s level of expertise, high calibre of officers and the complimentary range of services provided including front of house and post room.”

Steve Hall, chief executive, Ultimate Security Services, said: “We are delighted that Tower 42 has extended its contract with Ultimate and recognise our evolving service delivery model. Having originally been awarded the contract in 2001, Tower 42 is an important part of our history and we are pleased that we will continue to be part of each other’s future.”

And Paul Harvey, Ultimate’s commercial director, added: “Retaining contracts over the long term is particularly important and we place great value on our relationship with Tower 42. We always appreciate that we are in a highly competitive sector and clients have a choice.”
