Vicon’s customers can now integrate their CCTV system with access control, fire, intruder and building management systems (BMS) systems by using ViewPoint.
ViewPoint is a software module manufactured by MAXxess Systems which allows Vicon cameras, domes or DVRs to interact with other security or facility management systems.
The integration with ViewPoint is via ViconNet, Vicon’s digital IP-based video management software platform. It allows operators to view live images and start, stop, search and retrieve recorded video, as well as control PTZ domes.
"Our software engineers have worked closely with MAXxess to ensure that our customers can transparently integrate any Vicon video surveillance product with ViewPoint and by doing so, maximise their investment in a Vicon video surveillance solution," said Steve Batt, Vicon’s International Sales Manager. "This development will offer significant advantages to Vicon customers, particularly those who are multi-sited or have a complex security application."
