Explosives Education

by Msecadm4921

See our April magazine for a full interview with the International School for Security and Explosives Education (ISSEE).

Meanwhile; the ISSEE is to host a conference to increase security and counter-terrorism co-operation between the Chinese and British and to help Chinaโ€™s Ministry of Public Security, with which ISSEE has a cooperation arrangement, develop relationships with other organisations in the UK.

The two-day conference and exhibition is at ISSEE in Tidworth, Wiltshire on May 9 and 10, with UK Trade & Industry (UKT&I) and the Association of Police and Public Security Suppliers (APPSS) as co-hosts. Speakers include Nick Gibbons, Head of Counter-Terrorism Strategy Unit, UK Cabinet Office; Chinaโ€™s Vice Minister of Public Security; Insp Andy Amory, Metropolitan Police Special Operations; Prof Alan Hatcher, ISSEE founder and Principal; and senior members of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security and the Security Committee of the Beijing Organising Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG). Prof Hatcher said: โ€œThis conference will provide a unique opportunity for the UK and China to exchange information and to discuss security and policing methodology and techniques. Security at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and possibly in London in 2012 will also be high on the agenda.โ€
