Perryman’s Buses has a fleet of over 30 vehicles, including cars, minibuses and luxury coaches. Based on an industrial estate, it was the theft of diesel from two other businesses on the estate that prompted Perryman’s to install its first six camera depot CCTV system. LOOK replaced the depot system’s CCTV recorder and added a further three cameras, one of which is infra-red to monitor an area of the perimeter with poor street lighting. It also added a remote access facility enabling Roddy Perryman to access the depot’s cameras from a home PC or laptop. โThis has added a new dimension to both our security and our business. Outside normal hours we’re able to access all cameras, and check the entrance to the depot is not obstructed by parked cars; as well as ensuring our vehicles are getting away on time,โ Roddy Perryman noted.
