NIST Certification

by msecadm4921

For you switched on security, IT and facilities managers:

Access control firm Receptors have achieved NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) FIPS 197 Certification for Encrypted Network Communications for its V8.0.1 Odyssey Software and AN1-360/GP-1 Intelligent LAN panels.
Unlike other manufacturers’ products, the firm says, the encryption is embedded in the AN1-360/GP1 LAN Panel and in the server application software. Receptors claims that it is the only card access manufacturer to have AES 256 encryption on an intelligent LAN panel in the market. The encryption method employed by Receptors, the firm adds, ensures that no substitution of similar devices and no network “hacking” can compromise the security of communications as there are no devices required between the server and the AN1-360/GP1 LAN panel.
