Vanderbilt makes HQ in Germany

by Mark Rowe

The product company Vanderbilt has established its international headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Vanderbilt last October announced it signed a Purchase Agreement to acquire Siemensโ€™ Security Products, part of the Siemens Building Technologies business. The acquisition is due to close by the end of the first quarter of 2015.

The new headquarters, in a 3,466-square-foot modern office block, will provide its sales offices in 17 European countries with corporate support formerly provided by Siemens in those countries. The base for executive management, group finance and controlling, and support staff, is less than 15 minutes away from Frankfurt Airport.

Joe Grillo, CEO, Vanderbilt, said: โ€œVanderbilt Industries is focused on continuing and improving its support of its long-term relationships with technology partners, end users, distributors and integrators within the European market and throughout the world.

โ€œEstablishing our international headquarters in Germany is a major step toward facilitating stronger relationships with our customers abroad and ensuring the success of our long-term growth strategy of expanding market reach. It will also provide the basis for significant incremental growth in new international markets over the next several years.โ€

Siemens SP offers access control, intrusion alarm, and video surveillance products. The acquisition includes such brands or systems as SiPass Integrated (pictured), SiPass Entro, Omnis, Bewator and Cotag in the access control segment and Alarmcom and Europlex in intrusion alarms.
