HKC, the UK manufacturer of intruder alarms, has appointed Gerard Riney as Head of Research and Development. With over ten years in security technology, Gerard, pictured, brings knowledge in hardware design, embedded firmware, cloud infrastructure and connected security products.
He has brought multiple alarm system components to market and delivered integrations with access control and mobile applications. Gerard will oversee the lifecycle of product development, from the initial concept to delivery and innovation. He will lead HKCโs engineering teams throughout the process, the company adds, so that new and existing products continue to meet the evolving needs of HKCโs installers and customers.
He will also work closely alongside other areas of the business to ensure research and development aligns with HKCโs commercial and strategic goals. Gerard said: โHKCโs strong market position in Ireland, combined with its ambition to expand, makes this an exciting time to be leading R&D.
