New version of iViewer App

by Mark Rowe

The Taiwanese company VIVOTEK has released its re-designed and iOS 8 or Android 4.0 compatible iViewer app.

Users can monitor locations remotely by accessing surveillance camera video from their iOS or Android handheld device.

Steve Ma, Executive VP at VIVOTEK, said: “With the booming of connected handheld devices in the past decade, surveillance on the move is regarded as an essential element in the realisation of seamless security. VIVOTEK, in addition to providing our valued customers with high quality network surveillance products, is strongly commitment to creating user-friendly and convenient solutions. Ever since the launch of our iViewer app, we have applied great R&D resources to interface and functionality optimisation. Today, we are pleased to release the upgraded iViewer app with a friendlier user interface and more exciting new features, making remote monitoring more flexible and enjoyable.”

iViewer allows users to stream live video from hundreds of cameras, which can be accessed by VIVOTEK’s central management software VAST, VIVOTEK free video management software ST7501, and the company’s network video recorders (NVRs). Users can also connect to individual cameras via IP address or an IP finder.

New features in this upgraded version include a “My favorites” menu, a tutorial introduction, and ways to add devices (manual insert and local network search).

This new iViewer app is now available for free download on the App Store and Google Play. Visit www.vivotek.com.
