At ADS, the UK trade association, Deborah Higgins succeeds Jon Gray as its Director of Security and Resilience. She was previously Head of Resilience at the contractor Serco. She will act as principal adviser and secretary to the UK umbrella group, the Security and Resilience Industry Suppliers Community (RISC). While ADS is on the defence side of security, it arranges for the Home Office its annual Security & Policing show at Farnborough, which next runs in March 2027.
She has over 20 yearsโ experience across both the public and private sectors, including in law enforcement and international resilience roles. At ADS, Deborah, pictured, will lead on the security and resilience sector across member engagement, policy and business development.
Kevin Craven, CEO of ADS Group, said: โAt a time when the global security environment is becoming increasingly fragile, such roles carry great weight, and Deborahโs leadership and depth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the support we provide to our sector and our members.
โWith Deborah in this role, I am confident that an industry which already supports 150,000 jobs and contributes ยฃ15 billion to the UK economy will continue to grow and succeed right across the UK.โ
And Deborah Higgins said: โI am honoured to take on the role of Director of Security & Resilience at ADS, working closely with our membership to champion a highly innovative and fastโgrowing sector. The UKโs security and resilience sector is a hub of innovation, helping to keep our country secure, our streets safe and our supply chains resilient. I look forward to working with ADS members, policymakers and industry partners to strengthen the sectorโs capabilities, drive investment and reinforce the UKโs industrial leadership.โ
