Canadian manufacturers ACI International have released Echo QUAD, a four camera digital video recording system for use in PCs running Windows. Echo QUAD is a pci card and software that allows the user to connect four video cameras to the pci card, and record video from those cameras to computer hard drive(s). The product features a composite video quad output (switchable), pan and tilt dome control, built in hardware compression, and video motion detection. The makers report that the product is an addition to the Echo suite of PC based digital video surveillance and control systems. Designed for use in smaller facilities, Echo QUAD can be used in a stand-alone capacity, or as part of an enterprise-wide video surveillance solution. Echo QUAD is compatible with ACI?s Echo DMX and Echo PLAY software and hardware. All of the Echo products, including Echo QUAD, are Windows tcp/ip network compliant, and can be run under Windows 98, 2000, or XP. For details visit http://www.aciconnect.com
