Kings acquisition

by Mark Rowe

Kings Secure Technologies (KST) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the fire and life safety systems installer East Fire Extinguishers and Alarms, that trades as EFire.

Set up in 2011 and based in Norwich with over 50 engineers across the UK, EFire provides consulting, design, install and maintenance services, and serving the healthcare, education and industrial sectors. Kings says that EFire, combined with KST’s specialist smoke ventilation business, Silver Group adds to the companies’ experience and offerings in the life safety systems market.

Darren Gamage, Chief Operating Officer of Kings Secure Technologies said: “I am excited to be able to announce this acquisition. KST’s vision is to lead, transform and innovate in the security, fire, life safety and compliance environments. Our acquisition of EFire will turn this vision in to a reality; we will move forward at pace self-delivering in all key areas of fire and life safety systems to our national client base.”

And Roger Sparrow, Managing Director of EFire said: “With the backing of KST’s resources and reach, we look forward to delivering a wider range of services to our clients. We will combine our core strengths with those of the existing companies within the KST group, deepening our industry expertise. We recognised KST as the perfect fit for our business and I am delighted that this acquisition is now complete.”

Bob Forsyth, CEO KST Group, pictured said “This is our fourth acquisition in just over two years, strengthening our position in the fire and life safety arena. Our standing as a critical solutions provider has been enhanced; we are tremendously excited to welcome our new colleagues into the Group and watch the business flourish and grow.”

Bradford-based KST was advised by Squire Patton Boggs, the team consisting of Partner Paul Mann, Director Louise Parker and Associate Indy Bening.
