Uganda visit to Dahua

The speaker of Uganda’s Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, visited Dahua Technology with a delegation during a visit to China. Dahua top management were hosts.

The Ugandan government visit was at the invitation of Zhang Dejiang, Chairman, Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (China).

Dahua at their head office in the city of Hangzhou presented the company’s core competency in video and its vision of becoming a global smart IoT solution and service provider. Dahua made the point that it has been cooperating with the enterprise sector and government in Uganda on ‘Smart City’ and other solutions for public projects and infrastructure. The company says that it’s looking forward to more cooperation in large-scale projects in Uganda

Speaker Kadaga expressed her gratitude to an opportunity to visit a hi-tech company like Dahua. She said that during her visit to the company’s showroom (pictured), she was very impressed that aside from big project experience, Dahua also has practical technologies. She said that Uganda needs more surveillance products and solutions to better protect its people. She sid she was very pleased at possible creation of more job opportunities in Uganda.

Dahua reports that it has been serving customers in Uganda since 2011, and its annual revenue in the country has seen a steady rise. In 2016, the Dahua Kenya subsidiary was established in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital, with a team of Chinese and local people, to provide sales, marketing and technical support to customers and users in the East African market.
