M&A activity in the facilities management sector has seen a strong run of activity, with the volume of deals in the first half of the year totalling over 50% higher compared to the first half of 2012.
That is according to Grant Thornton’s latest quarterly report Insights Into Facilities Management
David Ascott, Corporate Finance Partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, said: “The past few months have shown some clear signs of a strategic shake-up in the FM sector , with large public company mergers like Kier/May Gurney and Balfour Beatty Workplace pointing to a reshaping of the landscape, as consolidation and portfolio restructuring take hold.”
