Physical security product firm J Durrance & Co reports that it has been successful in qualifying for the Constructionline and Building Register, two construction industry registers.
Constructionline, the UK register of local and national pre-qualified construction and construction-related services, and the Building Register, which manages an industry database of sub-contractors and suppliers, both use qualification procedures ensuring all contractors listed reach minimum standards of quality and capability, the firm reports. J Durrance points to a service level, including a unique two-hour emergency call-out service.
Constructionline, DTI owned and endorsed, is designed to streamline procurement procedures, reducing wasted time and effort at the pre-qualification stage. It requires strict pre-qualification criteria agreed with the DTI and recognises health and safety compliance. Building Register ‘Green Light’ has been a de facto standard assisting the selection of compliant and low risk vendors. Qualification for this register also means companies have achieved the CAPS (Construction Accredited Performance Standards) Scheme, providing an objective assessment of a companyโs competencies and standards that is validated by an independent audit.
