ACI International Inc has released its latest ECHO DMX video surveillance and control software. The ECHO digital CCTV systems can be configured to accomodate 16, 32, 48, 64 cameras using pci plug and play cards and Windows-based software, allowing live network video delivery system over any TCP/IP network, and a network based controller for pan tilt and zoom cameras. The latest Echo software release adds video motion detection and also the ability to monitor 640 alarm points and relays from any personal computer on the network. In addition, multiple Echo systems can be deployed over local area network or wide area networl (LAN or WAN) allowing thousands of cameras to be recorded digitally, viewed live, controlled and managed from anywhere on the network. Viewing, recording and archiving of video can all be performed at the same time from any local or central location. There is virtually no limit to the amount of video storage that can be deployed with Echo, since the software can be used with a variety user supplied storage devices including multiple hard drives, tape drives, and raid arrays, the manufacturer says.
