The distributor of security, AV and low-voltage products, ADI Global Distribution, has released a new mobile app for its UK customers. The firm calls it a way to shop ADI from a mobile device. Installers and the trade can use the app to search for products, build job lists, check pricing and availability, place orders, track deliveries and manage their ADI account.
The ADI app offers access to some 24,500 products from over 260 brands. With facial and fingerprint recognition, users can log in to the app in seconds. The app makes managing an ADI account easier, the firm says, and includes time-saving features like checking order status, reordering, delivery tracking and creating product lists by project or customer.
Laura Phelan, global vice president of digital experience at ADI, called it the next step in a strategy ‘to transform our customers’ digital experience’. She said: “We gathered customer input at each phase of design and development to ensure that we’re giving customers a way to quickly and conveniently access the products, services and information they need from ADI.”
And Anthony Carter, regional general manager for Northern Europe at ADI, said: “We’re always looking for ways to enhance our customer experience and the app provides another channel customers can access our products and services. Using their smartphone, customers can easily search our extensive online catalogue, access account information and manage orders quickly and conveniently, while on the go. The app complements our offering, which includes our branch network, sales team, Digital Branch and value-added services, to help us deliver an ominichannel shopping experience.”
The app also provides access to promotions, the distributor’s monthly sales flyers, and real-time stock availability. The firm says it plans to continue to add new features and functionality to the app. The company launched the app in the Netherlands earlier this year, and in the United States last year. The company has plans to release a version of the app for other countries across EMEA in the coming months.
