Evolution, the Buckinghamshire-based fire and security installers, have launched a new division to provide Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) to retail customers in the UK and Continent.
The division, headed by Philip McKelvey, pictured, will be based in Chelmsford. The firm says that it will build on the companyโs existing portfolio of retail customers by delivering โtraditionalโ and โnext-generationโ systems to protect assets before, during and even after they leave a store. As well as the more obvious โphysicalโ security, such as CCTV, access control and intruder alarms that Evolution already provides, it will also be extending its services into โconsumablesโ including security tags and labels to audit the product journey from the point of manufacture. The installer says this will particularly help in reducing shoplifting and shrinkage, as well as a trend to replace โgenuineโ high-cost items with counterfeited goods that are returned.
