Petards Vision has introduced Advantage.IP, a digital software solution that adds to their range of security and surveillance products. Advantage.IP lets you view, monitor and record live video from a combination of up to 14 IP (Internet Protocol) and/or standard analogue cameras using IP Video Servers. The software brings the ability to control Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) functions while digitally simulating camera PTZ functionality on fixed camera images. The product?s video processing automatically detects motion, colour, and video images. For example, the system will be triggered by a specific change in brightness – as may be caused by an intruder using a torch. The triggered event can be used to start video recording and to tag the recorded video with information that will facilitate retrieval later. The software can automatically generate an email to include a recorded image, and will attach the exact time and date to it. Other features include file management storage for disk space; camera icons on maps for viewing, plus alarm inputs from camera and other output controls.
Michael Williams, Managing Director of Petards Vision, said: ?Given the demanding and rapidly changing market that we?re in, we aim to provide our customers with the best and most flexible monitoring and control solutions at all times. Digital IP-based video products are now widely available and Advantage.IP has been developed to satisfy the emerging requirements of IP-video users.? Software features of Advantage.IP include: real time video processing of live video; pre and post event video recording; handling of input alarms; post processing of recorded video with new triggers; playback of any camera on live video screen; audit trail; Dark Monitor Mode hides the thumbnail image for covert applications.
