Specialist doorsets have been supplied to the Custom House Crossrail station in east London, pictured, by ASSA ABLOY Security Doors, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY. The station is one stop from Canary Wharf and is the only central section surface station.
ASSA ABLOY Security Doors supplied over 50 steel doorsets to the concourse, platforms and entrance. The doorsets include acoustic, fire, personnel and high security doors from the Powershield range, which all met London Underground standards, the makers say.

Paul Bryant at Paneltec Services Ltd, the contractor responsible for the Custom House station, said: โWhen Custom House Crossrail station becomes fully operational, it will see 12 trains an hour at peak time, therefore it is essential that the design of the building is suitable for a high volume of people.
